Course Contents
Our courses are focused on providing updated content on the challenges of reliability and resiliency of critical infrastructure. Mission Critical and Power Management Concepts have teamed together to offer a comprehensive set of instructional materials, covering fundamental to in-depth knowledge of essential components such as generators, transfer switches, UPS and cooling systems, as well as good engineering practices.
Courses comprise two broad categories:
- Essential knowledge courses are intended to give the student a general approach to the fundamental concepts of mission critical infrastructure. A summary of these courses is here. Two essential knowledge courses granting PDHs are offered for free to any student enrolled in the Professional Development courses.
- Professional development courses provide in-depth education on several aspects of mission critical infrastructure. These courses grant PE's Professional Development Hours (PDHs). The contents of each one is summarized here.
- Professional Development Hours (PDH) Online Course — $400/course with 8 PDHs awarded. Includes two Essential Knowledge Courses which earn you an additional 16 PDHs for the first course only.
- Foundations of Mission Critical Infrastructure — A certificate program is available to allow students to purchase all of the courses at a discounted price of $2,000. After completing all the courses provided, the student will receive a Certificate in the "Foundations of Mission Critical Infrastructure."

PDH Information
Power Management Concepts, LLC (PMC) is a registered provider and sponsor for P.E.'s Professional Development Hours (PDH), as approved by The State Education Department of New York and The National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) under the Registered Continuing Education Providers Program (RCEPP) for all other states.
PMC has developed specific educational material to meet the needs of Professional Engineers who require PDHs to maintain licensure. Each course grants the student 8 PDHs, which includes 4 hours for course study, 2 hours for forum participation, and 2 hours for technical content development in the chosen area of study. Our online program has been designed so that two courses per year may be taken to complete the PDH requirement; however, students should verify the amount of online PDHs allowed with their local governing office. All students are given an added value by receiving two essential knowledge classes with the purchase of their first class. The concepts in these courses are important for students to grasp in order for them to fully understand other related material.
| Power Management Concepts has met the standards and requirements of the NCEES Registered Continuing Education Providers Program. Credit earned on completion of this program will be reported to RCEPP. Certificates of completion will be issued to all participants.
